The surface has been left matte, there is no glass finish to this seconds piece. The photo are just and example of the design. Purchased last year’s version of Skeledog for my wife. He looks similar to this one, but with a chalk like look. The glaze is not shiny and the tail isn’t shaped like the letter O. He is so adorable. He’s sitting where we can look at him everyday. Jodie Boo is a very talented artist.
